MJ walked out this morning for approximately 30 mins over the book issue.. still unknown as to whats going to happen long term.
Is this a bit or what the heck is going on ?
Edit: He called in and had a chat. Seems the wifey calmed him down but could still be shakey

Ok, so now we heard it and they just went to break. I wonder what do we do now?
There was still some funny here though. Ryan the Newb, played the screaming "NOOOOO NOOOOO" at the most inappropriate time. Everyone got really quiet and Fester just stepped in like we should go on break.

| Hi, I'm new and wanted to chime in here. I used to HATE MJ with a passion. I never realized until this morning how I really felt. As soon as I heard him say he was going to quit, I was like noooooo! As much as a pain in the butt he is sometimes, I realized that he really does make the show! If he really does quit, whatever station he goes to will be the one I listen to in the morning. He has really grown on me. =( |

Exactly LilBit. I think Clear channel need to realize that the breakfast show is a huge earner for them, and that losing the show would have serious repercussions on advertising.
Of course, while Im not suggesting this is a bit, its a hell of a leverage for the new contract negotiations he mentioned they were discussing .. |

| Has there been any updates on this? Is he still set on quitting? I have been checking the site but nothing new is showing up and I had to come in to work an hour or two before the show ended. I didn't even hear when he called back in. |

From how this sounds... it doesn't seem like he is coming back. This was on the 93.3FLZ site....

| I missed the show today please catch me up. He threatened to quit over a book? I bet he won't quit. If he does, I'm sure he has a non compete clause which would make him sit out 6-12 months till he could find another job. Of course I know he has the afternoon show so im sure that wouldn't be affected. |

BTW, I'm new here and so happy to have found this site! I've listened to MJ since they started on Z107.7 (St. Louis listener here!). I heard him complaining about the Harry Potter situation this morning, but had to go into work before he walked out. I hope he doesn't quit! I enjoy him and the whole turtle lovin' crew!

I missed it I guess. He must of walked out after I came into work. He left again today?
Well I hope things work out for MJ, I'd hate to see him go. Clear Channel is going to be up a creek if MJ leaves.
And hello everyone. New to the boards but been a listener to the MJ show for about two years now. Not long but I think the guy is great. I know I will check his personal website to see where he goes if he leaves and listen to the new station he is on. |

Well hes back from his brief "I quit" position, but I think either hes going to end up quitting over something similar or Clearchannel will have to start backing him up.
In either case, all is well in MJ land again..

Did the asshole quit clear channel or not. I was once a fan but once BJ left the show it became ****ty and I started to listen to DJ's with TRUE TALENT like Howard Stern, Bubba the love sponge, CowHead, Fletcher and Boy, and hell even Mr. Rodgers was more compelling and entertaining than MJ
FYI: MJ is NOT the voice of Milton Fludge Cow it was Mike the Producer AKA Manson from the Bubba the Love sponge show why do you think they retired the bit. This was revealed on 7/17/07 on the Bubba the love sponge show when a caller asked if it was true that Manson did the voice and on que manson did the voice perfectly.
