Yeah, he was drunk, said nasty things and got off 2x before w/ cops out there. When he kills someone maybe he will think twice..I don't care who it is: the laws are too lenient and 50% of all fatalities are Alcohol related (not including drugs)..But his name is in the spotlight again..and inadvertently (sic) we are advancing his career. He can be the poster child of DUI's, as most of them are at one point or another. Wonder what he would say if one of his kids was killed via an intoxicated driver...?? I have no sympathy and am sick and tired of these people being in the Trauma room/ER/on the streets...very sick and tired of their beligerence and BS when you try to help them (because you have too)...Mel Gibson or whoever, pay the price and move on..no sympathy AT ALL!!! I hate this subject..see it every damn day and your tolerence is ZERO..

Amen brother Trauma, I am with you.
but wait, don't you think them big time Hollywood-types should get preferential treatment when dealing LEO's ? After all Mel gibson, Defended and fought for Scotland, He fought for the U.S. in 1776, He defended US against the Japanese during WWII, He fought in the Vietman war, and Flew into Loas for a covert CIA airlift organization during the vietnam war. On top of that he was a COP in LA from 1987 until 1998, single handely stopping a Drug Dealing Special Forces Group, a Corrupt South African Diplomat and entourage, Illegal Chinese worker smugglers and corrupt Ex-COP dealing in weapons.
If that isn't service to your country, I don't know what is.
Like MJ said this morning, they all think the World revolves around them. And I for one like Mel Gibson.
But if you and I do the same thing, We would be in the County Jail right now. Probably being Gang raped by a bunch of smelly tatooed guys still reliving last nights bar fight.
Help, I can't get rid of the visual.

That's sister Trauma FL...But brotherhood to EMS/FF...Good points on all realms...I am in total agreement and I don't feel like a "tossed salad" right now either...Not to forget his Brave Heart that Enpassioned us with antisematism!! Though I like him also, and would invite him over to dinner, he needs a bit of reality behind bars with the smelly, tatted, ass-pack!!

Jbaby3 it is bad out there and the media gets 10-15% off scanners; the rest is so under-reported to the public..It really is an epidemic and a scary one at that too! These idiots even stab each other in the ER because they have waited longer than the one called to go in the back: it's insanity at its finest and it can rack your nerves, make you mad, make you cry..the gammet of emotions..hard damn job and if you are not sh*t on, puked on, spit on..you may get a thank-you. Believe it or not: the thank-you's make it worth it...All worth it! One thank-you and that's all you need/ or a smile/touch or joke..Priceless, as the commercial states...and the drunks/druggies, well that's the sh*t on, puke, cursing, and spit; all probably riddled with Hep C and every other contagious droplet!! But I don't see any get away with a DUI not a one ends up in hospital and then not to the slammmer!! Tossing salad as an occupation for some specific court-appointed time period!

I would Say so. Did you hear about the accident yesterday on US 19 in Palm Harbor? Between Nebraska and Alderman. The FHP said they were racing yet the brother of one of the victims said. No they were no speeding becuase they were racing, they were speeding because he was bringing his friend to the hospital (He had chect pains !) Isn't that why we have Ambulatory services .
They were going in excess of 100 mph. ! If that isn't racing I feel sorry for the families, but they could hit a car with you or you family members in.
Not to say anything.... but I will let you guys guess what type of car was one of the cars racing (sorry speeding to the hospital)

Yes Fl I saw that too..And now remember some not to bright it could have been they were off to the hospital..(didnt want to pay the bill for the ride)It happens!! Of course I however have had them out at my house on 4 different occasions and the last time they didnt even take anyone but I tell you what id rather them drive than me..One being this last one was for my little girl(6 at the time)and I know there is NO WAY I could have driven, not knowing how she was. Same goes for the time before that! And the first time was for my son(one at the time)14 now. Now then I rode along, And i tell you how bad it ticks me off when people dont MOVE!! Everyone should think of the blaring sounds and bright lights as this is someone I love and care about in that and I need to MOVE out of the damn way! But they dont! When it comes to those who take these types of things into their own hands I feel no pity, for all they do is put more of us and the ones we love and care about in more danger!

Hey Sister T. I think this is a good reason to go on a Tirade (Correct spelling research still pending) Like I said City and County provide services to the people (Given at a price, but a human life is priceless ... in most cases) both to serve those in dire need of medical help and to their families so they don't have to put themselves in danger driving like a nut to the hospital.
SO when someone takes it upon themselves to drive a person to the Hospital because of a medical emergency, they put themselves in all kinds of danger. An Ambulance doing between 45 or 55 miles an hour on US19 with siren and lights on, on average will make it to the hospital faster than a rice Rocket doing 100. I will not even go into the list of things that can go wrong. Plus they are putting everyobne else on that street in danger.
It was stupid, and unfortunately they paid the price of stupidity !
